Privacy Policy

Your privacy on this website

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This policy explains how Parish Educational Consulting, LLC ("we," "us," or "the practice") handles information in connection with this website. It is written to describe what this website actually does, rather than to list every practice a website might have.

The short version

This website is an informational site. It has no accounts, no logins, and no shopping cart. It runs no analytics and no advertising trackers, and it does not build profiles of visitors. The consultation form does not send anything to us over the internet: it opens your own email program with a message drafted for you, which you choose whether to send. The only cookie stored is the one recording your own cookie choice.

Information we collect

Through this website itself, we collect no personal information from you directly. There is no database behind this site and no form that transmits data to us.

We do receive personal information in two ordinary ways described below: when you choose to contact us, and through the automatic server logs kept by our hosting provider.

The consultation form

The "Request a Consultation" form asks for your name, role, district or school, email address, phone number, area of need, and a message. When you submit it, the website does not transmit those details anywhere. Instead, your browser opens your own email application with a message already written containing what you typed, addressed to us.

Nothing reaches us unless you then send that email yourself. Once you do, your message arrives in our email inbox and is stored there like any other email we receive, and it will contain whatever information you chose to include.

You are equally welcome to call or email us directly instead. The phone number and email address are published on the site for exactly that reason.

Server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like essentially all web hosts, Vercel's servers automatically record technical details of requests made to the site. These typically include the IP address making the request, the date and time, which pages or files were requested, the referring page, and basic browser and device information.

These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. They are not used by us to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine them with any other information. Vercel's own handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie: the record of whether you accepted or declined cookies, so that your choice is honored and the consent banner is not shown to you repeatedly. It contains no personal information and is not used for tracking.

The Cookie Policy describes this in more detail, including how to change your choice.

Third-party services

Some files that make up this website are served from other companies' servers. Requesting a file from another company's server necessarily reveals your IP address and basic browser information to that company, so these are disclosed here even though none of them set cookies on this website.

ServiceWhy it is used
Google FontsServes the Noto Serif and Lato typefaces used throughout the site.
jsDelivrServes the GSAP animation library used for scroll effects.
VercelHosts the website and serves its pages, as described under Server logs.

The site also links out to Amazon product pages for Dr. Parish's books. If you follow one of those links, you leave this website and Amazon's own privacy practices apply. We receive no information about what you do there, and we earn no affiliate commission through those links.

How information is used

If you contact us, we use what you send for one purpose: to respond to you and, if it leads to work together, to carry out that engagement. We do not use it to market unrelated products, and we do not add you to a mailing list without you asking to be on one.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not trade contact details with other consultants or vendors.

Information may be disclosed in narrow circumstances: to service providers who make our operations possible, such as our email provider and website host, acting on our behalf; when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process; or to protect the rights and safety of the practice, our clients, or others.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is retained while it is useful for the relationship it concerns, and thereafter for as long as we may need it for legitimate business or recordkeeping reasons. You may ask us to delete your correspondence at any time using the contact details below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information we hold about you. These commonly include the right to know what we hold, to obtain a copy, to have inaccuracies corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to certain uses. Where a right to non-discrimination applies, we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Because this website collects nothing on its own, in practice the information we hold about you is the correspondence you have sent us. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires.

Children

This website is directed to school and district administrators and other education professionals, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Although Dr. Parish writes books for young readers, those books are sold through Amazon rather than through this site, and this site is not intended for use by children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because the site stores no personal information, there is no visitor database here to breach. Email correspondence is protected by the security of the email accounts involved. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If this website changes in a way that affects privacy, such as adding analytics, advertising, or a form that submits data to a server, this policy will be updated and the date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Note for the site owner: this page accurately describes the website as built, but it is a factual disclosure and not legal advice, and no attorney has reviewed it. Before launch, have counsel review it and confirm three things only you can supply: a business mailing address if one should be published, the retention period you actually apply to client correspondence, and whether any specific state or international privacy law applies to your client base and requires additional disclosures. Update this page whenever a new service is added to the site.
